July 5th – 18th 2010

This city-wide installation connects five bars, clubs, pubs, and social venues in Dundee by creating video snapshots that can be accessed by the clientele and staff. The videos on display have been created during a two month period of recording by artist David Yu and his team of apprentices, with help from staff and patrons. The footage will rotate between the participating venues during a two week period until it is installed in the original location of capture A social snapshot of should manifest through the stories, activity, and energy that people contribute to this project whilst mapping and connecting the social demographic of Dundee

This project is a part of the umbrella project The Nine Trades of Dundee which was initiated by Duncan and Jordanstone College of Art and Design Exhibitions and funded by the Scottish Arts Council. The Nine Trades project brings art and trade together commissioning nine artists with second non-art trades to lead collaborative art projects within those environments.
